Third-rankedPollitas (9-6) made lots of trouble for first ranked Cangrejeras (13-3) in Santurce on Tuesday. Cangrejeras managed to secure only three-point victory 85-82 . However their fans expected easier game. It was a great shooting night for Santurce especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Kamaria McDaniel (178-1999, college: Michigan St.) who scored 26 points. Forward Shae Kelley (185-1991, college: Minnesota) chipped in 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Cangrejeras players scored in double figures. Cangrejeras' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Swingman Quionche Carter (183, college: FGCU) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Lasha Petree (183, college: Purdue) added 24 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Cangrejeras have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-3 record. Isabela at the other side dropped to the fourth place with six games lost.
